Our Story & Board
In 2025, The Thrive Foundation was founded as the overflow of a circle of friends dreaming and creating solutions to empower as many as possible to live fully and lead greatly.
Thrive exists to create and eliminate. We create premier resources through writing, podcasting, cohorts and more, and we eliminate the financial constraints that prevent so many servants of society (educators, medical professionals, pastors, non-profit leaders, etc.) from receiving mental and emotional health resources that are necessary to help them maintain heart in their calling.
Bryan Barley
Bryan has spent the majority of his professional career starting new ventures in highly challenging contexts, and championing those who are willing to do the same. He spent over a decade in the center of urban Denver, CO, where he started a church and catalyzed many others to start churches, businesses, non-profits, and more during that time. He is passionate about helping people do hard things in a healthy way.
In 2019, he began a mentorship relationship with Dr. Chip Dodd, and from Chip’s encouragement, began his own coaching practice where he worked primarily with professional athletes (NFL, NBA, MLS), CEOs, Founders, and others navigating the unique pressures of responsibility and influence.
In 2023, he relocated to Nashville, largely as the overflow of a desire to work more closely with Chip and co-host The Living with Heart Podcast, and support the founding of The Voice of the Heart Center. He serves as a pastor in the heart of the city at Nashville First, and as an advisor to A Generous Company with NBA Veteran, Mason Plumlee.
